Bully Documentary Review

Bullying, a controversy that has the nation asking what's being done to put an end to bullying? I've spent the last two days watching a documentary called "Bully". Where the lives of 5 kids- Alex Libby, Kelby Johnson, Tyler Long, Ja'Meya Jackson,Ty Smalley, and their families- star in film about bullying and the harm it can do. From threats to suicide, bully can do a lot of damage. Mentally, emotionally, and physically.
These kids go through a lot each day. They get bullied in class, in the hallways, cafeterias, locker rooms, and school buses and only little is done about it. In some situations students were actually getting bullied by teachers, which i found incredibly sad. Home is the only place these kids feel safe, like they can be themselves.
I've never actually seen bullying like this in my environment but yet there has been a few suicides over the school year. I guess the bullying where I am is a little less more public.
This film showed how bullying is just as hard for the victim as it is for there families. siblings made fun of just because they're related to the victims, parents constantly ignored and lied to, and the victims having to go through this every single day.
My eyes were opened to how much bullying effects the lives of many around you and sadly it still goes on.
Day by day these victims and their families fight to put an end to bullying. Hopefully one day all the lost wars will result in a glorious victory.
